UniCredit has increased its position in Commerzbank to approximately 21%.
This move is in line with the statement made on September 11, 2024, and the regulatory filing to acquire a stake in Commerzbank ranging from 10% to 29.9%.
UniCredit has also entered into financial instruments related to around 11.5% of Commerzbank shares, bringing its total position to about 21%.
The hedging of the majority of its economic exposure provides UniCredit with flexibility in managing its stake.
UniCredit believes there is significant value to unlock in Commerzbank and remains committed to executing its strategy for sustainable growth.
